A Good Day, Just Because

So yesterday I was in such a weird mood regardless of the beautiful weather, sun and blue skies. I was just in a funk that I could not escape from. Chris and I went to the gym thinking that maybe I just needed to exercise but when I got there I sat in the cardio theater on a bike with the level on one. I had zero interests, burned zero energy so we left. I tried to let Chris know that I didn't want to ruin such a pretty day for him but he was determined to fix me. So, naturally we headed to see my family. To him, they always cheer me up...which is pretty much true. Since we had plenty to pick from we decided to visit my oldest sister and together she and my cousin Donte' snapped me right out of it! We all cracked up and laughed all night. Needless to say, I felt much better.

Now, why I even wrote that paragraph I have no earthly idea. Guess I just needed to share. Now, probably because of last night, today has been a great day.  I decided that I was going to walk through my neighborhood just to soak up all of the 80 degree goodness because we all know that the beautiful green trees and flowers will soon turn to brown branches and cruddy tire tracked snow. Here are some of the pleasures that I appreciated on my walk. Not actual photos, as I didn't walk with my camera...but you'll get the idea.

A perfect sky! The kind that makes me feel like I'm looking at a cartoon sky.

The sun coming through the trees:
Beautiful front yards:
 Window boxes with lovely flowers:

Everything about the walk was perfect. There was a slight breeze, people cutting their grass, and the wonderful scents of grilling and watermelon. Boy am I going to miss it when it's gone! Well, I'm not going to miss everything. As I was strolling through my lovely neighborhood appreciating all that God has blessed me with, I was then approached by this:
Now I completely understand that this too is one of Gods great doings but it flew at me really creepy like!! Needless to say,  I walked much faster to the safety of my home. Oh, the joys of the season :-)
