House Hunters, Property Virgins, My First Place!! I Love HGTV!

Chris and I moved to Ohio my hometown from Atlanta in 2005. It was never our intention to make this a permanent move but lo and behold three years later we went from property virgins to property owners. The home buying process was rather fun for us in the beginning. We initially didn't have a clue as to what we could afford, nor did we have a big list of must haves. There were two things that we were certain about, 1.) we wanted a beautiful neighborhood and 2.) we wanted square footage. For cheap entertainment we would occasionally go driving around random neighborhoods pointing out what we like, what we didn't like and gauging whether or not we could live here or there. One day while house stalking we ran into a Realtor in a beautiful neighborhood. Not knowing for certain what our goal was or whether we were going to continue to rent or buy, we spoke with him about the home buying process and somehow from there he became our Realtor and we became real home shoppers! We didn't immediately let anyone know that we were home shopping as it was a bit surreal even to us. To get all of the details check out Reno-Virgin, it truly became a whirlwind...

Hi, An interesting discussion is worth comment. I think that you should write more on this topic, it might not be a taboo subject but generally people are not enough to speak on such topics. To the next. Cheers

Thanks for your comment and suggestion that I should write more on this topic. I tried to write about our personal experience, but when I wrote this post being new to blogging I did filter some things. There was a lot that our Realtor did not tell us so we had to learn a lot on our own. I left that information out in an effort to not disparage him. Now that I've been blogging more I'm feeling much more comfortable about speaking the whole truth. Maybe I'll go into the details one day.

Thanks again!
