At this point my belly size was 24cm, and the kicky monsters heart rate was 150 BPM. She was also the size of a cantaloupe this week!
We are officially done with our ultrasounds which sucks because we want to see our baby at every appointment. We are glad the little one is doing well, but it's just so much more fun to see her. Some of the side effects that I could have been experiencing this week were stretch marks, swollen feet and leg cramps, fortunately so far I'm not.
Week 25
We finally started working on the nursery! I began to paint, the color we chose is Jute by Benjamin Moore; and Chris began to cut and attach the bead board. We are pretty neutral people. This nursery will not look like pepto bismol just because we are having a girl.
The kicky monster is literally all over the place. My sisters and mom talk about how wonderful it was to feel their babies moving around but honestly, this is so alien to me. I love the kicks, but the full body movements and flips and somersaults that look like a snake has invaded my belly is a bit much for me. Chris and would lay there and watch as my entire stomach wiggles and pulsates. Definitely interesting and fun to look at but crazy to feel.
Week 26
This week I had a pregnancy symptom! Heartburn. I don't have it often, nor do I have it after any particular meal, but I'm certain that is what it was. That burning sensation in my throat was quite uncomfortable, Zantac to the rescue! At week 26 our little dumpling had developed eyelashes! I'm sure they're the prettiest ever. Baby brain was also supposed to be happening in this week but fortunately my memory was still in tact.
The kicky monster was literally making some major moves this week. She would suddenly jump or something and it literally made me jump, especially if my hand was on my stomach at the time. She surprises and shocks me so often...I can't wait to get used to this so that I'm not so caught off guard. Another thing that's been happening is extreme tightening of my belly. Sometimes my stomach feels so tight it feels like it just wants to pop open. Apparently this is a form of contractions preparing my body for labor...Braxton Hicks?? Not certain.

You are So Darn Cute! I love your updates AND you are going to love looking back at this in the future! I had 3 BOYS...You will be happy to know, "I NEVER had stretch marks so I don't think you have to worry", everyone doesn't get them! My first two sons I didn't even need maternity clothes... You are definitely "GLOWING"!!! Thanks for the update!
Hugs to you,
Donna
You are adorable! The heartburn was awful for me - the old wives' tales turned out to be true because little boy was born with a full head of hair. Can't wait for you to meet your little dumplin'. :)
