Rosabella

Isn't that such a pretty name? I think so. Rosabella is the name of the Italianate Victorian Manor in which Chris and I will become husband and wife. Take a look:

This place is absolutely beautiful in person:

It's surrounded by nothing but farmland:

On June 25th 2011, me, Chris and 28 of our closest relatives will converge onto this lovely property as he and I exchange our vows. It will be short simple and elegant. We will dine, eat cake, take photos and watch the sun set. Why 28 people you ask? Well ideally it would be our immediate families. There are 7 in mine, but once you add in in-laws, my niece and nephews I'm pretty much at 15. Chris's family is much smaller so in addition to his immediate we are inviting the cousins that he is closest to and that will make up the other 15.

Having begun our wedding planning in February we are extremely blessed that this beautiful venue was available! I don't know how many couples can start their wedding planning four months out and get exactly what they want.  We truly found a hidden gem. Not too long ago my parents, sister and brother in law escorted us to Rosabella and they concurred. We chose the perfect intimate location. We will actually be the second wedding held here, the first was the proprietor Marsha's daughter. We are fortunate that Marsha is playing a major role and making sure that everything comes together. From the centerpieces, catering, decor she has pretty much become an unofficial coordinator of sorts! She has made this process stress free and we appreciate her dearly.

We look forward to this blessed day and I'm sure it will be beautiful. Now all we have to do is finalize some the the remaining outstanding details and we'll be good to go!

It's absolutely breath-taking! You're so lucky, "date twin"! :) Your pictures are going to be fabulous!

I'm having my bridal shower at a home/mansion like this.

We're having our ceremony and reception in the same location-- a 1940s restored barn... wood floors and rafters, massive double-sided stone fireplace, giant windows, deck. I love how it's large, but intimate at the same time. SO much better than a stuffy reception hall, IMO.
